The stars sparkled and the skies illuminated as the Valorants from the centre set our screens on fire. The Central Division Valorant Championship ended dramatically with fireworks all around. Shot’s fired, points won and lost, skills used and different maps were accessed across the three days of this tournament.
Bennett Blazers 1 were the team with an incredible journey throughout this tournament and managed to steal the show on the final day after clinching a convincing and dominant victory over the JU Eagles 2. The opening game for the Bennett Blazers was a tight one, but a narrow victory set them up for the rest of the tournament. They put up an impeccable display in the Quarter-final, Semifinal and made it clear in the Finals that they are here to steal the show. Many teams from the Central Division Universities made the most of this opportunity and participated in good numbers. Some universities managed to send in two three teams from their universities and encouraged maximum participation. Universities and fans could also watch the live stream of all the games on the Elite Sports India YouTube handle. Players and fans also interacted via the live streaming platform through the comments in the form of support and encouragement for their favourite teams. The tournament format was a direct knockout match. Two knockout rounds followed by a quarterfinal match and then the semi-finals and finals. A prize pool of Rs.50,000/- was kept on the table for the top four teams. Team JU Eagles 2 secured the second place while IIT Lucknow and JKLU Shooters 2 clinched the last two spots. Players went in with different strategies in every round and gave in their best in all matches. Some teams were dominant daisy’s while the others were knocked off the hook and crushed with a snap of a finger. Great talents emerged out like every other tournament. The winners of this tournament will now stand a chance to compete at the National Championship for which the details will be out soon. Until then, spread the word and keep gaming!
